3. If the control solution test result is out of range:

Error in performing the test.

Improper code number. Check if the code number on

the display matches the code

number on the test strip vial.

Do not shake the control

solution vial very well.

Shake the control solution

vigorously and repeat the test

again.

Expired or contaminated

control solution.

Control solution that is too

warm or too cold.

Test strip deterioration. Repeat the test with a new

test strip.

Meter malfunction. Contact local customer

service.

Read the instruction thor-

oughly and repeat the test

again.

Check the expiration date or

the discard date of the control

solution.

Control solution, meter, and

test strips should come to

room temperature (20-

25°C/68-77°F) before testing.
